Your friend is thirsty.
She asks if you can give her some water to quench her thirst.
You say, “Absolutely!”
You want to pour some of your water into her cup…
So you reach down to your cup of water…
You look down at your cup…
And it’s empty.
She’s still thirsty…
And you’re not able to help her.
How does that feel?
Hence the saying…
You cannot pour from an empty cup.
I get it…
In the fast-paced chaos of our everyday routines…
We often find ourselves prioritizing the needs and expectations of others.
Be it family…
Friends…
Or professional commitments.
Today…
I want to remind you that you are your own most valuable asset.
How can you care for others…
When you haven’t cared for yourself?
How can you give to others…
When you have little of yourself to give?
How can you serve others…
When you lack the energy or focus to serve them in a meaningful way?
Always prioritize yourself…
Always choose yourself…
Make this a non-negotiable.
How?
Here are 10 things you can do starting today (pick more than one!):
