Tough times?

If you’re not having the best day…

Week…

Month…

Or year…

Please know that it’s okay.

There’s no way to avoid sorrow…

Adversity…

Or distress in life.

So let yourself feel all the emotions.

Sadness…

Frustration…

Grief…

Allow yourself space to be upset.

After that…

Remind yourself that you are capable of overcoming tough times.

You’ve done it before…

And you WILL do it again.

Whenever dealing with tough times…

There’s meaning to be found.

There’s something for you to learn.

If it’s taking a toll on you…

What’s important is to NOT let it define you or become your identity.

Know that it’s okay to not feel okay.

So don’t beat yourself up for not feeling upbeat.

Honor whatever comes up…

Whatever the emotions…

Just don’t get stuck in them.

The emotions that you don’t own…

Will own you.

So accept whatever comes up…

Take full ownership of your experience…

And most importantly…

Be KIND to yourself.

Self-compassion is critical when dealing with disruptive thoughts and emotions.

So, go easy on yourself.

When going through a tough time…

Just go right through it…

I mean, right through it.

Feel it…

Be in it…

Don’t avoid it.

Go completely in it…

And then, go through it…

And get out on the other side.
