The 3-Step Formula For Hitting Your Goals In 2025

Zig Ziglar once said…

“How could a man hit a target he could not see?”

Then he went on to ask…

“How can you hit a target you do not have?”

We have 2 days left before the start of 2025.

Do you have a CLEAR target?

Can you SEE it?

Years ago…

After my father passed away…

I started to do this work on myself…

And I began implementing what I later realized is a 3-step formula to achieving goals.

This helped me leave a finance company and start working for Tesla.

It propelled me to lead national training programs at Tesla.

This formula helped me launch a successful coaching/speaking business earning more income than I ever did at Tesla while significantly impacting the lives of thousands of leaders.

I’m absolutely certain it will help you as you embark on your next chapter in 2025.

Here’s the formula…

STEP 1: Get Crystal Clear

I don’t mean to just write down an income goal for 2025.

Go deeper than that.

Get clearer than that.

What activities do you see yourself engaging in?

What results will you be achieving in your work?

What version of you will you become in 2025?

That quote at the top of this email brings up one of the key fundamentals to your success; CLARITY.

Don’t forget; clarity precedes success.

STEP 2: Revisit Your Goals Frequently

If you approach goal setting as a “set it and forget it” kinda deal, you’re not going to have much success.

Your goals need to be on your mind constantly.

You need to keep your focus on the target.

Now, I don’t mean to obsess over the goal to the point of feeling discouraged, frustrated, and dissatisfied.

Instead, consider the analogy of a swimmer approaching a lighthouse.

The swimmer needs to bring their head up out of the water on occasion to see if they’re still going in the right direction.

Otherwise, the swimmer can be going way off course and lose sight of their target.

At the same time, you don’t want to be obsessively looking at the lighthouse because then you’re not swimming effectively.

The swimmer needs to find a happy medium of focusing on each stroke while frequently checking to confirm that they are still going in the right direction.

Take this approach for any goal you set.

STEP 3: Never Stop Learning

You know who gets to their target the fastest?

The person who learns from others how they got to their target fastest.

Sure, each of us has baseline talents, intelligence, and ability…

But I’d always put my money on the person who’s willing to ask for help and learn from others.

If you want to learn how to build a car…

And you’ve never built a car before…

Would you just buy the parts and hope to figure it out on your own?

OR…

Would you learn from someone who knows how to build cars effectively and efficiently?

Same goes for any plan of action you’re putting together to achieve your goals.

Learn from others.

Get the mentors you need to support you in reaching your goals.

This approach will enable you to grow faster and smarter.

Rooting for you,
Jay (encouraging you to make 2025 your best year yet)
