This is not something I usually write about.
But lately, I’ve felt more and more compelled to say something about all the news going around about Tesla.
I’m sure you’ve seen it in the news.
People boycotting…
Protesting…
And even damaging Tesla vehicles and stores.
Look…
I’m not defending Elon Musk.
This isn’t about him.
What it’s about is the one thing I know with absolute certainty to be true.
Which is…
That so many of the people who work at Tesla are GOOD people.
I know many of them.
And I can assure you…
They care little about Elon’s politics…
And care more about doing great work…
They care more about innovation…
And furthering the mission of Tesla, which is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
If you’re really angry with Elon Musk, that’s fine, that’s your truth, and I honor how you feel.
But please…
Don’t take it out on people who are just trying to do good work.
Don’t take it out on a Tesla owner who just really loves their car and doesn’t have any affiliation with Elon’s politics.
Our society is going to become more and more divided unless we take a stand.
Let’s be more understanding of one another.
Let’s listen more.
Let’s be kinder to one another.
Let’s be sure everyone’s views are acknowledged and respected.
Actions, however, need to be addressed when they are harmful to others.
Let’s be mindful of our behavior towards one another.
Let’s not let anger or hatred fuel our behavior.
Let’s be open to discussion.
