A New Approach To Gratitude

You hear it all the time…

You need to practice gratitude!

Because of Thanksgiving this week, you’re going to hear a lot about being grateful.

Experts say that you should make a list of the things you’re grateful for each day.

They say…

Pull out a journal before bed…

And write out 10 things you’re grateful for.

That’s a nice practice…

But you do not get the benefits of gratitude practice when it becomes a chore you feel you have to do each day.

Instead…

I encourage you to practice gratitude in a simpler, more impactful way.

Right now…

Bring to mind something you’re grateful for.

Just one thing.

Got it?

Okay, great.

Now bring your attention into your body and notice where you feel that gratitude.

Is it in your chest?

Your heart?

Is it a “buzzing” sensation throughout your body?

Whatever you notice…really feel it.

Then, imagine that you’re “turning up the volume” of that feeling in your body.

Allow it to amplify.

Let it grow, let it build, let it expand.

Make it so your entire body is flooded with this feeling of gratitude.

Take notice of how you feel.

If you were to do this every day…

You will begin to see a major shift in your mindset and how you’re feeling.

This Thanksgiving…

Don’t “go through the motions” and say what you’re grateful just because it’s what everyone does.

Genuinely tap into the experience of gratitude.

Put away the pen and paper…

Stop making gratitude lists…

And start FEELING grateful.

Wishing you and your family all the best this Thanksgiving.

Rooting for you,
Jay (encouraging you to FEEL grateful)
