You already know…
That your only life experience is of the present moment.
The past is only experienced as a memory in the present moment…
And the future is only experienced as imagining thoughts in the present moment.
So the only experience you’ve ever had…
The experience you’re having right now…
And all the experiences you’ll ever have in the future…
Are of the present moment.
I invite you…
Right now…
To fully experience “this” present moment.
If you focus your attention on “this” present moment…
Right now…
What you’ll find…
Is that you cannot truly conceptualize the present moment.
Here’s an example.
Say the word “now” out loud.
As soon as the “n” is pronounced…
It becomes the past and “ow” is its future.
You continue and pronounce “ow”…
Then “ow” becomes the past immediately as it’s pronounced.
What this means is…
The present moment can never be “grasped”.
It cannot be conceptualized with thoughts.
So we have this fascinating paradox, don’t we?
It’s true, we only experience the present moment…
But we can’t truly experience it since as soon as we experience it…
It’s in the past!
I invite you to explore this on your own this week.
Take notice of this paradox during meditation and breaks throughout your day…
And consider its implications.
Rooting for you,
Jay (encouraging you to deeply explore the present moment)
