The waiting game…

04/22/24

Tick…

Tock…

Tick…

Tock…

Waiting can be incredibly frustrating, right?

It feels like time is slipping away…

Or your time is being wasted…

Especially when you’re eager to move forward.

Or…

When you’re waiting for something important to happen…

Then suddenly…

Life takes an unexpected detour.

You feel disappointed…

Frustrated…

And annoyed.

I totally understand you…

And it’s perfectly normal to feel this way.

The way to work around this…

Is to reframe your thoughts about the situation.

Change your perspective on waiting.

View waiting as a pause for preparation…

Or a time to gather your thoughts…

Plan your next move…

Or an opportunity to breathe and regain your composure.

This will help to reduce any frustration that can be coming up for you.

There’s a song by Parson James called “Waiting Game”…

And the chorus goes…

“There’s just this waiting game,
And I don’t know how to play.”

If Parson was reading this email…

I would tell him to learn HOW to play this game!

In your waiting…

You can choose not to be stagnant…

You can still take action to grow, progress, and flourish.

In your waiting…

What you tell yourself matters a great deal.

Are you telling yourself that things aren’t working for you?

Or…

Are you telling yourself that learning how to be patient is a PART of your growth and evolution?

When you look back…

You might see that some of the best outcomes in life…

Come after a frustrating wait.

I know…

Waiting is rarely easy…

But by approaching it creatively and positively…

You can lessen the frustration…

And find value in those moments.

Remember…

Patience is not just about waiting;

It’s about how you wait.

Rooting for you,
Jay (encouraging you to learn how to play “the waiting game”)
